This past January I posted two blogs in which I talked about the remarkable brain development program developed by San Francisco-based Posit Science. At that time, I had secured a discount code to offer my readers. A flood of requests came in asking for the discount code. Some readers wanted a program for themselves while others were buying the program for a parent. No other posting in this blog comes close to matching the response these two posts drew.
Unfortunately, the discount code expired February 28. Now, however, I’ve wrangled a new discount code from Posit Science after a number of people who came across the postings through a Google search have emaioled me asking for the code.

If you are a Wall Street Journal subscriber and follow Sharon Begley’s Science column that appears every Friday, you might have read the recent back-to-back articles on the aging brain. The last article appeared April 28. Begley reported that contrary to common belief new research shows that crossword puzzles and soduko do not enhance brainpower. this seems to put to rest the idea of “use it or lose it.”
It seems that the only way to turn back the clock on your brain after age 40 is to stimulate the flow of certain neuromodulators that stimulate the brain into in effect rewiring itself.
The Posit Science brain workout is designed to speed up brain function, improve processing accuracy, and strengthen recording of input. The program targets auditory processing (listening) because so much of the important information we take in each day comes through speech.
In scientific studies involving hundreds of participants, people who completed the program showed remarkable gains in memory and other cognitive abilities—equivalent, on average, to 10+ years of improvement. These studies have been conducted by independent researchers at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF), Stanford University, and the University of California at Davis. Another major study, funded by the National Institutes of Health is due out next month.
How well has this program worked? People who have completed the program have experienced an average improvement of +49% in brain speed for listening and 10 years in memory and other cognitive abilities.
I’d love to hear from readers who have gone through the program to get their assessment of how well it has worked for them.
The current discount code is dw0612. Order the program directly from here.
I believe there was an article in your August 2006 about a "A New Pill for Alzheimer's"
I have Alzheimer's and I am quite interested in the content of the article.

Today is the 14th, so this post is less than 10 days old, but when I tried to enter the code the site says "The coupon code you entered is no longer active."
Has anyone got this coupon to work recently? Or is a new one available?
