A New Information Resource from a Talented Team of Consumer Researchers
Harvey Hartman of Belleview, Washington is a good friend. He also heads up The Hartman Group, a consumer research organization that I regard as being beyond surpass. I’ve written about THG before in this space, but am once more moved to bring this outstanding organization to readers’ attention. THG, which publishes an excellent online newsletter, has just introduced a new venture it calls Tinderbox. According to its website, Tinderbox is committed to:
- Reviving the brand experience
- Refining the retail customer experience
- Designing compelling, resonant product experiences
- Finding product ideas within narrowly defined product categories - coffee machines, prepared foods, etc.
- Exploring unmet needs within lifestyle consumer segments of consumers - mountain bikers, vegetarians
- Studying unmet needs within professional target groups - janitors, building contractors, elementary school teachers
- Creating breakthrough packaging and delivery ideas for highly commoditized CPG categories
Now all that doesn’t sound awesomely new; those items are being explored by scads of research firms around the country. However, HarveyHartman & Co. bring a polished and somewhat unique approach to the task of getting deep, actionable insights into the ever shifting sands of consumer behavior. Look for the 11 trends that the Tinderbox crew believes are having overarching influence on consumer behavior today.
While on the site, you might do well to sign up for Tinderbox’s free enewsletter, Spark.
THG, and now Tinderbox, is a continuously flowing source of valuable information on today’s markets. I have been a subscriber of THG’s flagship enewsletter, Hartbeat over the past three years and have found it to be a reliable and important source of consumer trend insights. You can get a free subscription by clicking on "SUBSCRIBE NOW..." located at the bottom of the left column of the current issue.
By the way, Harvey did not lobby me to write this post. It is from a perspective of enthusiastic appreciation of THG's competence in a field that has too much smoke and too many mirrors that I have drafted this post.
I glad too see this interest site, I tell my friends about it! They like sites like that: site
